The skin is the largest organ inside the BODY. The skin covers on average 20 at least 20 square feet. The skin which is referred to as the integumentary system consists of hair, skin, and nails.

The skin consists of three layers which are epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.
Epidermis – is a waterproof barrier
Dermis – consists of connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands
Hypodermis – is made up of fat and connective tissue
